Xavier Athletics Moves to Mobile Ticketing for 2020-21
08.03.20 | Tickets
CINCINNATI – Xavier Athletics announced today that the department will transition to mobile ticketing starting with the 2020-21 season. Mobile ticketing will be utilized for all season tickets, mini-packs and single game tickets. The move to mobile ticketing will provide greater convenience and a safer environment for fans that attend Xavier athletic events.
The switch to mobile ticketing will offer contactless entry and limit the physical contact between fans and gameday staff, eliminating physical touch concerns due to the current state of COVID-19. Mobile ticketing reduces frequent issues related to paper tickets, including theft, shipping delays, tickets lost in transit and the need for an early confirmation of a shipping address.
"Mobile ticketing is now the industry standard for live events, and we're excited to release this to all of our fans. We are taking many steps to ensure the safety of our fans and game day employees, and mobile ticketing not only addresses physical safety, but also increased insurance against fraud and other problems that physical tickets present. We recognize this will be a change for a lot of our fans, and we are confident that this will be a significant improvement in the experience for them," said Brett Sanders, Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Sales.
The mobile ticketing process will also provide an added layer of security and will significantly reduce ticket fraud. In addition, fans will have added flexibility, including the ability to transfer tickets via mobile phone instead of having to leave them at will call. It will also allow Xavier Athletics to communicate real-time changes in a constantly-changing environment.
More information will be provided in the coming weeks. Fans with immediate questions can visit our Mobile Ticketing FAQ page, email tickets@xavier.edu or call the Xavier Athletics Ticket Office at 513-745-3411 x.7.
