Cross Country Announces Fall Schedule

Xavier opens the fall season on Friday, Sept. 3 at the Butler Open
CINCINNATI - Xavier head cross country coach Sam Burroughs announced his fall schedule on Tuesday. The Musketeers open the season on Friday, Sept. 3 at the Butler Open.
Sept 3 - Butler Open - Indianapolis, Ind.
Oct. 2 - Greater Louisville Classic - Louisville, Ky.
Oct. 15 - Bradley Pink Classic - Peoria, Ill.
Oct. 30 - BIG EAST Championships - Indianapolis, Ind.
Nov. 12 - NCAA Great Lakes Regional - Evansville, Ind.
• Xavier returns three of its top-five finishers at the 2021 Spring BIG EAST Championships: Courtney Klatt (34th), Hannah Russell (45th) and Sarah Been (46th). It was the lone cross country meet in the spring for the Musketeers due to COVID-19 schedule restrictions.
• The Musketeers also return two runners on the men's side from the 2021 Spring BIG EAST Championships in Lucas Houk (51st) and Noah Douthit (56th). The men placed ninth at the meet, while the women took eighth, respectively.
• Both the Butler Open and the BIG EAST Championships will be held at the Northview Church in Carmel, Ind. Xavier competed on the course in 2018 during the BIG EAST Championships.
• Xavier last competed at the Louisville Classic in 2019. The Musketeers have also raced at the Bradley Pink Classic, most recently in 2018.
