Xavier women place 16th, men finish 26th

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Xavier cross country wrapped up its season at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Friday afternoon. The meet was held at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.

The Xavier women placed 19th (in a field of 31 teams), while the men finished 26th (in a field of 29 teams). Notre Dame won the meet on the women's side, while Wisconsin captured the men's team title.

Individually, Claire Sievern led the Xavier women with an 79th-place finish - posting a 6K time of 21:57.60. Notre Dame's Olivia Markezich placed first (in a field of 219 runners) with a time of 19:54.0.

Adrian Stuphan led the Xavier men with an 86th-place finish, posting a 10K time of 31:58.30. Butler's Barry Keane won the title with a time of 29:38.10 in a field of 196 runners.
