CINCINNATI - Xavier head women's lacrosse coach Meg Decker has added Hannah McFeeters to the 2023 roster. She joins the Musketeers from Walsh University.
"Very few players, regardless of division, have achieved the breadth of success that Hannah has reached in her undergraduate lacrosse career," said Decker. "The sheer dimension of her game is the most impressive part of her play. This is not surprising given her growth mindset and competitive spirit. Beyond her play, Hannah is the type of young woman that elevates those around her by being the most vibrant version of her self in all spaces.
"Hannah's fierce and courageous spirit translates off the field in her advocacy, as she planned and coordinated initiatives to increase LGBT+ student and student-athlete visibility on her campus. I cannot wait to see what she does here at Xavier and beyond."
McFeeters played in 55 games during her four-year career, making 54 starts. The midfielder scored 168 goals to go along with 50 assists. She totaled 118 ground balls, 229 draws controlled and caused 71 turnovers.
McFeeters was named the 2022 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year. She helped the Cavaliers win their second straight conference title in 2022 after posting a 13-5 overall record.
She finished her career as the program's career leader in points (218), points per game (3.96), goals (168), goals per game (3.05), free position goals (35), woman-up goals (12), shots (317) and shots per game (5.76).
McFeeters was a three-time GMAC First-Team honoree and was named the 2021 GMAC Offensive Player of the Year. She was also the 2021 NCAA Elite 22 and 2022 NCAA Elite 23 Award Winner.
