Men's Basketball Schedule Is Complete As BIG EAST Announces League Slate

NEW YORK - The BIG EAST Conference announced Xavier's 20-game 2022-23 men's basketball league schedule today. Xavier's entire 31-game regular season schedule and the BIG EAST Tournament are slated for national television, including three on FOX National, 18 on FS1, two on FS2, four on the ESPN networks, one on CBS National, two on CBS Sports Network and the regular season finale on a FOX network to be announced. There will be additional national coverage opportunities on FS1 or FOX in the BIG EAST Tournament.
Xavier opens up the league season at Georgetown on Friday, Dec. 16 followed by its conference home opener vs. Seton Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 20. Six of Xavier's 10 BIG EAST home games are weekend matchups, giving the Musketeers nine home weekend games during the regular season slate. XU closes the home slate vs. Butler on Saturday, March 4 at Cintas Center.
All 20 BIG EAST regular season games will be nationally televised, including three on FOX National (FOX 19 in Cincinnati), 13 on FS1 and one on a FOX network to be determined on the final weekend. In addition to the FOX coverage, XU will have one BIG EAST game on CBS National (Local 12 in Cincinnati) and two on CBS Sports Network. In addition, every game of the BIG EAST Tournament will be broadcast on FS1 or FOX National.
Xavier's 18-game home schedule begins with an exhibition game against Kentucky Wesleyan on Monday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. and Opening Night vs. Morgan State on Monday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. XU hosts Indiana as part of the Gavitt Tipoff Games on Friday, Nov. 18, and West Virginia as part of the BIG EAST-Big 12 Challenge on Saturday, Dec. 3, in addition to the rugged 10-game BIG EAST home slate. XU renews the rivalry with Cincinnati for the annual Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout on Dec. 10 at UC.
