AJ Adams Named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week

The freshman golfer won the Xavier Invitational on Oct. 17
NEW YORK - AJ Adams was named the BIG EAST Men's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday afternoon. The freshman golfer earns the honors for the first time in his career.
The Dallas, Texas, native is the first Musketeer to earn the honors since Imaad Qureshi on Oct. 21, 2021.
Adams took home medalist honors at the Xavier Invitational presented by Gateway Logistics on Oct. 17, becoming the first Xavier player to win a tournament since April 28, 2019 (Garrett Wood at the 2019 BIG EAST Championships). Xavier posted a top-three finisher in three consecutive tournaments to end the fall 2023 season.
Xavier finished second at the tournament, the highest team finish for the Musketeers since the 2016 BIG EAST Championships.
The Musketeers open their spring schedule at BIG EAST Match Play on Feb. 5-6, 2024. The tournament is being held at Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Fla.
