Lola Mancuso earns the first weekly award in program history
NEW YORK - Lola Mancuso was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on Monday afternoon. The attacker helped the Musketeers post a 2-0 record last week.
Xavier posted a 15-14 win at Radford on Feb. 24, the first win in program history. The Musketeers added a two-goal victory (16-14) at Longwood on Feb. 26.
Mancuso recorded 10 goals and two assists in two games last weekend. The Plantation, Fla., native recovered three ground balls and caused two turnovers. She also took 15 shots (13 shots on goal).
Mancuso and the Musketeers return to action on Saturday, March 4 at Presbyterian.
