CINCINNATI - Xavier men's golf continues its spring season at the Golfweek/Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate on March 27-29. The three-day tournament is being held at the Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort in Pawleys Island, S.C.

Monday, March 27: Round 1; Double tee start at 7:45am; Lunch follows round.
Tuesday, March 28: Round 2; Double tee start at 7:45am; Lunch follows round.
Wednesday, March 29: Final Round; Double tee start at 7:30am; Lunch and awards follows round.
Men will be a True Blue, women will be at Caledonia. The driving range is located at True Blue and just a few minutes away from Caledonia.

LAST TIME OUT

• Xavier placed eighth at the Sea Palms Invitational on March 11. The three-day tournament was held at Sea Palms Resort in St. Simons Island, Ga.

• Xavier hit 857 (+5), three strokes behind Western Kentucky (854, +2) who placed seventh. Davidson won the 20-team tournament with a score of 809 (-43). The Wildcats won the tournament by 13 strokes (Wright State placed second with a score of 822, -30).

• Carson Bellish posted his second top-10 finish in as many tournaments, placing tied for eighth with a score of 205 (-8). Wright State's Mikkel Mathiesen and Jacksonville State's Erik Jansson placed tied for first with scores of 200 (-13). The field consisted of 120 golfers.

NOTABLES

• Xavier finished eighth at the 2022 Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate. The Musketeers shot a 54-hole total of 888 (+24), ranking eighth (out of nine teams). Michael Prebles posted the best finish of his career, placing sixth with a score of 214 (-2).

• Xavier played in four tournaments in the fall of 2022 with its highest finish coming at the UConn Invitational on Oct. 3-4 (placed sixth out of 14 teams). The Musketeers finished the tournament with a score of 900 (+36).

• Xavier's highest individual finish during the fall 2022 season was also at the UConn Invitational. Mason Witt tied for eighth with a score of 222 (+6).

• Xavier posted three top-five finishes during the 2021-22 season. The Musketeers placed fourth at both the Valparaiso Invitational (Sept. 20-21) and the NKU The Jewell (April 10-11).

• The Musketeers return all five golfers who participated in the BIG EAST Championships on April 25-27. Michael Prebles paced the squad with a 21st place finish (219, +3).

• Xavier welcomes three newcomers to the team: Carson Bellish, Zach Burton and Félix-Antoine Levasseur.

• Brian Arlinghaus enters year two at the helm of the program after being hired on June 18, 2021. He joined the Musketeers after serving as the head men's golf coach at Wright State from 2017-21. He was an assistant coach with the Raiders for two seasons (2015-17) before being promoted to head coach.
