LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Xavier men's and women's swimming opened up the dual portion of the 2023-24 schedule on Friday afternoon at Louisville, taking part in 14 races on both the men's and women's at the Ralph Wright Natatorium.

Next up, Xavier will host an Alumni Meet at Heidt Family Champions Center on October 7, set to begin at 10:00 a.m. Following the Alumni Meet, Xavier will travel to the Akron Invite, held at Ocasek Natatorium on October 13-14.

WOMEN'S NOTABLE

Kali Fischer, Jordyn Libler, Erin Ritz and Olivia Oyster opened up the meet with a time of 1:46.01 to lead Xavier in the 200 medley relay, placing fourth.
Mary Sweetman placed third in the 1000 free with a time of 10:56.73.
Kali Fischer led Xavier in the 200 free, placing third with a time of 1:52.95. She also led Xavier in the 200 back with a time of 2:06.92.
Julia Sweetman's time of 59.07 in the 100 back led Xavier and placed fourth. She also led Xavier in the 200 IM with a time of 2:09.76, scoring in second place.
Jordyn Libler led the Musketeers in the breaststroke events, placing third in the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.84, and finishing fourth in the 200 breast with a time of 2:25.15.
Norah Simich lead Xavier with a time of 2:07.07 in the 200 fly, placing fourth.
Olivia Oyster led Xavier in the freestyle sprints, placing third in the 100 free with a time of 52.82. She also led Xavier in the 50 free with a time of 23.98.
Clara Keiser scored in second place in the 500 free with a time of 5:16.02.
Erin Ritz led the Musketeers in the 100 fly with a time of 57.62, scoring in second.
Olivia Oyster, Mary Sweetman, Alexis Worrall and Reese Turner set a time of 3:34.11 to lead Xavier in the 400 free relay to close out the meet.
Xavier's women fell by a score of 189-69.

MEN'S NOTABLE

Xavier's men opened the meet with a time of 1:33.21 in the 200 medley relay for Gage Hannewyk, Ethan Saunders, Aiden Leamer and Kyle Hudson.
Luke Peterson finished the 1000 free in a time of 9:45.05 to lead the Musketeers.
Kyle Hudson set a time of 1:42.65 in the 200 free to lead Xavier.
Matt Fralic set the top time by a Musketeer in the 100 back, with a time of 52.67.
Brayden Mandacina finished fourth in the 100 breast with a time of 58.80.
Aiden Leamer picked up a second place finish in the 200 fly with a time of 1:50.53. Leamer also led the Musketeers in the 100 fly with a time of 50.44.
CJ Sorensen set the top time by a Musketeer in the 50 free, 21.38.
Kyle Hudson's time of 46.73 led Xavier in the 100 free.
Michael Benington set a time of 1:56.06 in the 200 back to place fourth.
Nathan Wall finished second in the 200 breast with a time of 2:06.86. He also led Xavier in the 200 IM with a time of 1:55.29.
Ryan Knipp led Xavier with a time of 4:46.90 in the 500 free, scoring in second place.
Kyle Hudson, CJ Sorensen, Ethan Saunders and Gage Hannewyk closed out the meet with a time of 3:08.68 in the 400 free relay.
The Musketeer men fell by a score of 193-66.
