NEW YORK - Freshman Kellen Dean was named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week on Thursday.
The Saratoga Springs, N.Y., native took home medalist honors at the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational on Oct. 8. The tournament was played at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kan.
The Musketeers placed tied for third at the tournament with a 54-hole score of 869 (+5).
Dean posted a 54-hole score of 209 (-7), winning the tournament by one stroke over Johnnie Clark from Oklahoma State (210, -6).
Dean and the Musketeers return to action at the Golden Flash Individual on Oct. 13-14.
