Kellen Dean Takes Home Medalist Honors at Grier Jones Shocker Invitational

Xavier placed tied for third with a 54-hole score of 869 (+5)
Xavier University delivered a strong performance at the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational, securing a tie for third place with a team score of +5 (869). The Musketeers were led by standout player Kellen Dean, who clinched the individual title with an impressive -7 (209), thanks to rounds of 73, 66, and 70. Dean's stellar play, particularly on the par 3s where he averaged 2.75, was key in keeping Xavier competitive throughout the tournament. The win also secured Dean a sponsors exemption into the Korn Ferry Tour's Wichita Open next June 12-15, 2025.
Ray Filter also had a solid showing, finishing T7 with a -1 (215) after consistent rounds of 70, 74, and 71. His contributions helped the team stay in contention, while Carson Bellish's final round 68 propelled him to a T11 finish at even par (216).Â
