Angela Wyss announced the promotions on Friday afternoon
CINCINNATI - Assistant Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Academic Support Services Angela Wyss announced the promotion of two staff members on Friday afternoon.
Kristin Janes was promoted to Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Academic Support Services and Louis Goldsmith was promoted to Athletic Academic Specialist.
Janes joined Xavier in October of 2022 as an Athletic Academic Specialist in the Student-Athlete Academic Support Services office.
"I would like to congratulate Kristin on this promotion," said Wyss. "Kristin has done a fantastic job serving the student-athletes in her two and a half years here at Xavier. She is well-respected by the Xavier community and has proven to be an asset to the institution. She cares deeply for those she serves and really embodies the Jesuit values in her work. I have no doubt she will hit the ground running and continue to do a fantastic job serving the student-athletes."
Goldsmith joined Xavier as a academic mentor in Xavier's Student-Athlete Academic Support Services Department in August of 2023.
"Additionally, I would like to also congratulate Louis on his promotion within the SAASS office," said Wyss. "Louis has a deep passion for assisting student-athletes in their growth both academically and personally. He is a fast learner and is open to taking on any challenge thrown his way. He has proven to be an excellent part of the SAASS team in his short year and a half of part-time work with us. He relates well to students and knows how to motivate them. We are excited to welcome him on the team full-time. I know he will continue to thrive in this new position."
