CINCINNATI --- Jason Slayton, Assistant Director in the Office of Student Financial Services, earned the 2025 John Kucia Campus Teammate of the Year Award and Sarah Naas, Associate Director of Student-Athlete Academic Support Services, was announced as the recipient of the 2025 Greg Park All For One Award. The awards were presented by Vice President and Director of Athletics Greg Christopher at the annual fall athletic department staff meeting.
Â
"Jason's work impacts Athletics and our 19 teams in a significant way," said Christopher. "When I speak to coaches, staff and student-athletes, his name came up often as someone who is supportive, goes the extra mile, and understands the nuances and details of our work."Â Â
Â
John Kucia Campus Teammate of the Year Award is an annual honor to recognize a Xavier faculty or staff member who goes above and beyond to support student-athletes and assist the Athletics Department.
Â
"Sarah has done a tremendous job in her vital role as the academic advisor for men's and women's basketball," said Christopher. "Sarah's strong relationships with our student-athletes are just a starting point in why she is deserving of recognition. Sarah also goes above and beyond in creating community within our department and has a natural gift for connecting with people."
The Greg Park All For One Award is given by the athletics staff to the individual who exceeds expectations throughout the department and works to improve Xavier Athletics as a whole. Greg Park, the award's namesake, was the first-ever athletic business manager at Xavier and spent 25 years in the role before retiring in July 2013.
