Kemp Earns Second Straight BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll Nod

Margo Kemp was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second week in a row after helping XU to a 2-0 weekend at home.
NEW YORK - Xavier volleyball's Margo Kemp earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second straight week after helping the Musketeers defeat UConn and Providence in Cintas Center over the weekend.
Kemp totaled 14 kills and nine blocks through both matches, including a match-high six blocks against UConn along with nine kills.
Against Providence, the redshirt sophomore recorded five kills and three blocks on a .333 clip while the Musketeers held PC to a .039 hitting percentage.
The middle blocker ranks third in the league with 1.15 blocks per set and 10th with a .309 hitting percentage.
Kemp and XU have held all opponents this season to a combined .188 clip, good for third in the league.
Xavier, now 5-1 in the league, will travel to Marquette and DePaul this weekend for two BIG EAST road tests. The Musketeers and Golden Eagles are tied for second place in the conference standings and will face off on Friday night at 8:00 p.m. EST in Milwaukee.
