CINCINNATI - Xavier men's golf won the Xavier Invitational presented by Gateway Logistics on Tuesday, winning the tournament for the second time in as many seasons. The two-day tournament was played at Maketewah Country Club.

The Musketeers also won their second straight tournament of the season (won the Moraine Intercollegiate on Oct. 14).

The Musketeers posted a 54-hole score of 854 (+14) over the two-day tournament, winning the Xavier Invitational by 14 strokes in a field of 12 teams. Tennessee Tech finished second (868, +28), while St. John's finished third (887, +47).

Individually, Cayse Morgan took home medalist honors for the second straight tournament - posting a 54-hole score of 205 (-5) in a field of 76 golfers. The freshman won the tournament by two strokes (Haden Maxwell from Tennesee Tech finished second with a score of three-under-par 207).

Five other Musketeers finished in the top-10: Kellen Dean (4th), Leo Walling (T-6th), Ray Filter (T-6th), Zach Burton (T-5th) and Kyle Smith (10th).

Burton now has five career top-10 finishes. Dean now has four career top-10 finishes. Filter now has eight career top-10 finishes. Smith now has four career top-10 finishes. Walling now has one career-top 10 finishes.

The Musketeers have now posted four tournament titles over the last two seasons. Xavier has also posted seven, top-three finishes over the last two seasons.
