Musketeers women in third, men in fourth after day one of three

CLEVELAND - Men's and women's swimming wrapped up day one at CSU Magnus Cup on Thursday evening, with the women standing in third place and the men in fourth after the first day of the three-day meet.

The Musketeers will be back in action with prelims starting on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Busbey Natatorium.

WOMEN'S NOTABLE

Xavier's A squad of Norah Simich, Julia Sweetman, Maddy Lathrop and Olivia Oyster led Xavier with a time of 1:34.09 in the 200 free relay.
Karlie Dodd led Xavier in the 50 breast with a time of 29.66.
Emma Tenhundfeld set a time of 26.65 in the 50 back to lead the Musketeers. She also led Xavier in the 200 IM, placing fifth with a time of 2:06.49.
Ella Maxfield placed fourth in the 500 free with a time of 4:58.49.
Olivia Oyster won the 50 free, setting a time of 22.51.
Abby Bocian, Jordyn Libler, Norah Simich and Olivia Oyster closed out the first day with a third-place finish in the 400 medley relay.
Xavier stands in third place with 261 points.

Matt Fralic, Aiden Leamer, Kyle Hudson and Sean McGinley set a time of 1:21.36 in the 200 free relay to take second.
Brayden Mandacina finished the 50 breast in 25.70 to lead Xavier.
Matt Fralic placed second in the 50 back with a time of 22.72.
Luke Peterson's time of 4:34.56 led the Musketeers in the 500 free.
Aiden Leamer placed fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 1:50.19.
Sean McGinley placed second in the 50 free with a time of 20.42.
Matt Fralic, Brayden Mandacina, Aiden Leamer and Kyle Hudson set a time of 3:17.95 in the 400 medley relay to place fourth.
The Musketeer men stand in fourth place with 278 points.
