Halftime of the men's basketball game versus Providence on January 10, 2026
The Corgi Race is set to take over halftime of the Xavier Men's Basketball game on January 10th vs. Providence at 1 p.m., bringing maximum fluff and fierce competition to Cintas Center. We're inviting speedy, spirited corgis to dash down the court for a chance to win two tickets to a future XU Men's Basketball game and a Xavier puppy prize pack. Each corgi must have two handlers to help guide their tiny athlete, and please note that dogs are permitted for the halftime race only and cannot remain in the stands during the game. Corgis and handlers will be expected to arrive at Cintas Center around 1 p.m. on January 10th.
If you would like your corgi to compete in this halftime race, please complete the form here. Registration closes on December 19th, 2025. Please note that submitting an entry does not guarantee selection; all applicants will be notified at least one week before the game whether their corgi has made the starting lineup. Up to 8 contestants will be randomly selected to participate and will be contacted by Xavier Athletics.
