Mason Witt Named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week

NEW YORK - Mason Witt was named the BIG EAST Golfer of the Week on Thursday afternoon. He shares the weekly honors with Marquette's Vincent Cervantes.
Witt took home medalist honors at Northern Kentucky's The Jewell on April 8 at Elks Run Golf Course in Batavia, Ohio.
The senior golfer won the tournament with a 36-hole score of 139 (-3), defeating Wright State's Shane Ochs by one stroke (140, -2). The individual title was the first of Witt's career (he now has four career top-10 finishes).
Xavier returns to action at the Arkansas State Invitational on April 14-15. The tournament is being played at RidgePointe Country Club in Jonesboro, Ark.
The Musketeers will also send a squad to the Wright State Invitational on April 13-14. The tournament is being played at Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio.
