270 Xavier student-athletes earned the honors
NEW YORK - The BIG EAST Conference announced the names of more than 3,100 student-athletes who were selected to the 2024-25 BIG EAST All-Academic Team on Monday.
The Musketeers had 270Â student-athletes earn the recognition.

Nominations for the All-Academic Team are submitted by each of the BIG EAST's 11 member schools and six affiliate institutions. To be eligible for the honor, a nominee must have competed in a BIG EAST-sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.00 for the preceding academic year, and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work, with a total of 18 semester or 27 quarter credits, not including remedial courses.

There are 3,122 honorees for the 2024-25 academic year. Villanova led the way with 395 student-athletes honored with Georgetown having the second most with 365. Connecticut (285) and Providence (274) rounded out the top four institutions. Affiliate student-athletes made up 162 of the honorees.
