Matt Fralic Named BIG EAST Swimmer of the Week

Junior took first in three events against Bellarmine
NEW YORK - Xavier men's swimming's Matt Fralic was named the BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Fralic, a junior from Worthington, Ohio, helped Xavier pick up three first place finishes as the Musketeer men won seven of 11 events on the way to the team win over Bellarmine on Saturday.
Individually, Fralic placed first in the 200 back, finishing in a time of 1:52.50. Fralic swam anchor for the winning 200 free relay squad that finished in 1:24.29 and also swam the backstroke leg for the first-place finishing 200 medley relay, posting a 23.70 split as Xavier finished in 1:31.99.
The Musketeers return to the pool with three events this weekend, starting with a trip across town to face Cincinnati on Friday, January 23, set for a 3:00 p.m. start.
