Musketeers back in action tomorrow at 10 AM for day two of the meet
AKRON, Ohio – Xavier men's and women's swimming opened up the Akron Zips Classic on Friday evening, competing against Ohio State, Denison, Cleveland State and Youngstown State on the men's side, as well as hosts Akron on the women's side.
The Musketeers men are in fourth place while the women are in sixth after five races on both the men's and women's side.
Xavier will be back in action tomorrow with two mores sessions, with the morning session starting at 10:00 a.m., with the final session set for 6:00 p.m., following the mile heats that start at approximately 4:00 p.m.

WOMEN'S NOTABLE
- Maggie O'Toole, Parker Mandacina, Norah Simich and Abbey Fish led Xavier in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:46.08.
- Mary Honkamp set a time of 5:06.94 to lead the Musketeers in the 500 free.
- Emma Tenhundfeld's time of 2:06.30 led Xavier in the 200 IM.
- Norah Simich set the top time by a Musketeer in the 50 free, finishing in 23.76.
- Norah Simich, Parker Mandacina, Ella Maxfield and Mary Honkamp set a time of 7:41.58 in the 800 free relay to lead Xavier.
- The Musketeers collected 59 points to sit in sixth place.
