Xavier had the three top finishers at the tournament
RICHMOND, Ind. - AJ Adams won The Indy at Forest Hills on Friday evening. The one-day, individuals only 36-hole tournament was hosted by Miami (Ohio) at Forest Hills Country Club.
AJ Adams placed first in a field of 39 golfers with a score of 131 (-9). Teammate Kyle Smith finished second with a score of 136 (-4).
Sebastian Olsen placed tied for third (141, +1) and Chris Pollak placed tied for 33rd (156, +16).
Xavier was the only school with golfers who hit under par at the tournament.
Adams now has five career top-10 finishes with two tournament titles. Smith now has eight career top-10 finishes.Â
The Musketeers return to action on Oct. 5-6 at the Cullan Brown Collegiate in Lexington, Ky. The tournament is being played at Lexington Country Club.
