Graduate student led Musketeers in points at Akron Zips Classic
NEW YORK - Xavier men's swimming's Connor Lathrop was named the BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Lathrop, a graduate student from Carmel, Ind., led the Musketeer men in points at the Akron Zips Classic. On night one, he set a time of 4:36.12 led the Musketeers in the 500 free. He also swam the leadoff leg of the 800 free relay for the A-squad.
On day two, Lathrop placed fourth in the 400 IM with a time of 3:59.61. In the afternoon session, he led Xavier in the 200 back with a time of 1:48.94.
The Musketeers return to the pool on Saturday, Oct. 24, traveling to Denison to take on the Big Red at 1:00 p.m. at the Trumbull Aquatic Center in Granville, Ohio
