NEW YORK - A.J. Wilhelm was named the BIG EAST Golfer of the Week on Thursday afternoon. He shared the honors with Marquette's Johan Widal.

Wilhelm led the Musketeers to a first-place finish at the Lake Jovita Invitational on Feb. 10 with a 54-hole score of 846 (-18), the team's third straight tournament title. Xavier won the tournament by three strokes over BIG EAST foe Butler (849, -15).

Individually, Wilhelm had a third-place finish with a 54-hole score of 208 (-8) - the highest individual finish of his Xavier career.

Xavier returns to action at the Wexford Intercollegiate on Feb. 16-17 at the Wexford Golf Club in Hilton Head, S.C.
