Xavier Athletics Celebrates 10th Annual XSPYS

CINCINNATI -Â Xavier Athletics celebrated the year in Musketeer sports on Wednesday night, when the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee hosted the 10th annual XSPYS. The event was held on the Kohlhepp Family Court at Cintas Center.

Xavier student-athletes voted on a number of categories, on and off the playing field, ranging from Best Play to Male and Female Athletes of the Year.
Jordyn Libler from Women's Swimming took home the Musketeer Magis Award given to a person who constantly seeks out doing more for the universal good of others. The award is for someone who is a consummate leader, is humble and unselfish.
Maria Galley from Women's Soccer and Jonny Mennell from Men's Soccer were both tabbed Musketeer Medal of Honor recipients. The award is given to a senior male and female student-athlete who has achieved excellence in scholarship, athletics, leadership and service.
Annie Sinning from Cross Country/Track was named the recipient of the Benjamin Allen Student-Athlete Leadership Award. The award is presented to a current or former student-athlete for making significant contributions to Xavier University and a well-rounded impact on the global community with ingenuity, leadership and determination.

Best Play – Filip Borovicanin (Men's Basketball)
Best Single Game Performance – Tre Carroll (Men's Basketball)
Best Teammate – Ally Zaleski (Women's Swimming)

Benjamin Allen Student-Athlete Leadership Award – Annie Sinning (Women's Cross Country/Track)
Rev. Paul L. O'Connor, S.J. Award – Carson Bellish (Men's Golf) and Myla Toole (Women's Cross Country/Track)
Thomas E. Sedler Award – Matthew Adanin (Men's Swimming) and Mary Mastrian (Lacrosse)
