Silver Waves Media Names Brian Hicks On Top 100 List

The list names top rising assistant, associate and deputy athletic directors.
CINCINNATI --- Silver Waves Media announced that Xavier University's Brian Hicks is on its top 100 rising athletic directors and future ads List that includes current Assistant ADs, Deputy ADs and Associate ADs. Hicks, who joined Xavier University in 2004, was promoted to Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations in July 2022.
"I am honored and humbled to be recognized among such a talented group of athletic administrators.," said Hicks. "This is a reflection of the great people I get to work with every day at Xavier, and I am grateful for the opportunities this institution has provided me throughout my career."
Hicks is part of Xavier Athletics' core senior leadership staff and is responsible for all aspects of the department's external operations. He has built strong relationships that have translated into meaningful revenue opportunities and long-term institutional value. He serves as the department's primary liaison with Learfield and other key partners, playing a central role in multimedia rights strategy and integrated brand development, and contributes to broader institutional initiatives focused on revenue strategy, operational efficiency, and cross-campus collaboration. He also serves as the sport administrator for the Musketeers' men's and women's soccer programs.Â
Hicks is a member of NACMA, served on its Board of Directors for ten years until 2020, and was President during the 2018-19 year. A 1997 graduate of the University of Kentucky, Hicks earned a master's degree in sport administration from Xavier in 1999.Â
