Cayse Morgan Named to NCAA Division I PING All-Region Team

NORMAN, Okla. - Cayse Morgan was named to the GCAA NCAA Division I PING All-Region on Saturday. The freshman golfer is one of 150 players across six regions and 81 schools that earned all-region honors.

Morgan was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and BIG EAST Golfer of the Year. He the first BIG EAST men's golfer since 2018 - and only the third player in conference history - to earn both major conference awards in the same season. Morgan was the first Musketeer to earn Freshman of the Year honors since Daniel Wetterich in 2016. He was also the first Musketeer to be named Golfer of the Year since Herbert Day in 2011.

Morgan led the Musketeers to the 2026 BIG EAST Championship, the program's ninth conference championship and first title since 2005. The Cincinnati native had seven top-10 finishes last season with four tournament titles, including medalist honors at the conference championships.

Morgan finished the 2025-26 season with a 70.3 stroke average, the lowest single-season stroke average in school history.

Morgan and the Musketeers competed at the NCAA Corvallis Regional on May 18-20, the team's first NCAA appearance since 2006 (and sixth overall team appearance).
