Xavier Posts Strong Marks in NCAA Academic Progress Rate (APR) Report

Four teams post perfect scores in multi-year rate; 12 teams earn perfect 1,000 for 2024-25 academic year
INDIANAPOLIS - Four Xavier University teams posted perfect 1,000 Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores for the multiyear rate, ending with the 2024-25 academic year, released by the NCAA on Tuesday. Twelve total Xavier teams earned a perfect score of 1,000 for the single-year measure from the 2024-25 academic year.
The APR provides a real-time measurement of a team's academic success by tracking eligibility and progress toward graduation of each student-athlete on scholarship. A team's score is calculated as the total points earned divided by points possible, multiplied by 1,000.
The current data contains multi-year marks from the 2021-22 academic year through the 2024-25 academic year. Teams must achieve a multi-year APR of at least 930 to be eligible for postseason competition, all of Xavier's team surpassed this mark. Sixteen Xavier programs posted a multi-year rate at 975 or above in the most recent metrics.
