2017-18: Competed in the championship final of three events at the BIG EAST Championships… Placed third in the 100 back with a time of 48.77, setting a new school record…Placed third with a time of 20.63 in the 50 free, the seventh fastest time in program history…Set a season-best time of 45.20 in the 100 free to place sixth… Took part in the of the third-place finishing 200 free relay, setting a time of 1:21.53, the fifth fastest time in program history… Was part of the second-place finishing 400 free relay which touched the wall in 2:00.47… Competed as part of the second-place finishing 200 medley relay, setting a time of 1:29.62, the fourth fastest time in program history… Competed as part of the third-place finishing 400 medley relay, finishing in 3:17.20, the second-fastest time in program history.

2016-17: Won three BIG EAST Championships at the conference meet...took the top spot in the 100 back championship final after setting a career-best time and school record of 48.97 in the prelims of the event... Also competed in the championship final of the 50 free, with a career-best time of 20.92, and in the 100 free...Took part in the gold-medal winning and school-record setting 200 medley and 400 medley relays... Placed second as part of the 400 free relay.

2015-16: Qualified for the championship final at the BIG EAST Championships in three individual events... Finished fourth in the 100 yard back with a time of 50.27 after setting a new Xavier school record of 49.56 during the prelims...Scored in sixth in the 100 free wih at time of 45.92...Took eighth in the 50 free with a time of 21.08...Earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST Team as part of the gold medal winning 200 free and 400 free relays.

Prior to Xavier: Spent four years on the varsity team at St. Thomas Academy... was part of four team state Championships... Was the 2014 Minnesota Class A State Champion in the 100 back... Was the State Runner-Up in 2015 in the 100 free...Also played basketball at St.Thomas.

Personal: Son of Craig and Mary Johanns...Father played basketball at Hamline University...has an older brother, Luke, and younger sister, Olivia... Luke was also a swimmer at Xavier... Majoring in Biology.
