2006-07: Saw action in seven tournaments as a junior ? Recorded a top-20 finish at the Landfall Tradition ? Finished the season with a 75.90 scoring average ? Shot a season-low 69 (-3) in the opening round of the Mattaponi Springs Shootout.
2005-06: Set a course record at the Sand Ridge Golf Club by shooting a six-under-par 65 during the second round of the Cleveland State Invitational, which was also his season-low round and helped him finish 11th with a 217 (+4) · Recorded a scoring average of 74.54 as a sophomore · Led the team with a fourth place finish with rounds of 73-70-67 at the Orange County National Xavier Invitational · Tied for eighth at the SMC/Merrill Lynch Invitational carding rounds of 76-74-74.

Summer 2005: Shot 73-72-71-72 -- 288 in the Ohio Amateur, finishing in a tie for 10th ? Also competed in the Western Amateur.
2004-05: Named Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Year and also honored on the six-member All-Conference Team after finishing third with a 108 (E) at the rain-shortened 2005 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship ? Posted a scoring average of 75.51 in his first season with the Musketeers ? Shot a season-low round of 70 (-2) in the opening round of the Bruce Fossum-Taylor Made Invitational at Michigan State on Apr. 30 ? Connell opened up his career with rounds of 73-70-75 at the Michigan Intercollegiate as the freshman finished in a tie for 13th with a 2-over-par 218 ? Finished in a tie for 28th with a 14-over-par 230, including a 1-over-par 73 in the second round, in the Pinehurst Intercollegiate ? Summer 2004: Won 2004 Ohio Junior Public Links Championship with rounds of 67 and 70 ? Earned three top-tens in AJGA events including a runner-up finish in Harbor Springs, Mich.
High School: A four-year letter winner and three-time team MVP for Lima Central Catholic High School in Lima, Ohio ? Led Lima Central to two consecutive state championships during his junior and senior years ? Broke the school scoring mark with a 65 in the final round of the state tournament ? Honored as a First Team All-State selection following his junior year, and earned second team acclaim after his senior year ?
