REDFORD FINISHED STRONG: Had his four-game double-figure scoring streak (the first of his career) snapped at Butler on March 9 but bounced back with 14 points vs. Saint Joseph's in the Atlantic 10 Championship first round on March 14...averaged 10.5 ppg. over the last six games...fifth on the team in scoring as a senior at 7.6 ppg...his four-game double-figure scoring streak included a team-high tying 15-point game against VCU on Feb. 23, hitting a pair of 3-pointers on his way to 10 points against Memphis on Feb. 26 and following that up with 13 points on the strength of three 3-pointers vs. UMass on March 2 and 11 points on the strength of three 3-pointers vs. Saint Louis on March 6...earlier this season he recorded three straight double-figure scoring games; he scored a career-high 21-point game against George Washington on Jan. 12; hit a career-high seven 3-pointers out of eight attempts in the GW win, while sharing game-high scoring honors...followed up the GW game with 17 points on the strength of five 3-pointers at St. Bonaventure on Jan. 16...connected on three 3-pointers on his way to 13 points vs. La Salle on Jan. 19...had a 14-point game against Kent State on Dec. 9 on the strength of 4-of-5 shooting from 3-point range...this past summer he played overseas with the East Coast All-Stars in Estonia to represent the United States.
LED THE ATLANTIC 10 IN THREE-POINT SHOOTING ACCURACY...AGAIN: Ranked first in the Atlantic 10 Conference in 3-point shooting percentage at 44.6 percent (66-of-148) as a senior...also led the Atlantic 10 Conference in 3-point percentage as a freshman (school-record 46.5 percent in the 2008-09 season) and was second in the A-10 at 42.5 percent as a sophomore in the 2009-10 season.
FOUND HIS RANGE: Hit 66-of-148 (.446) from 3-point range as a senior, which ranked first in the Atlantic 10 Conference...hit 51.3 percent (20-of-39) over the last eight games...ninth in the A-10 in 3-point field goals made per game at 2.1 per game...had 195 career 3-pointers out of 219 career field goals (89.0 percent)...hit two big 3-pointers, including the go-ahead basket with under two minutes left, in the Memphis win on Feb. 26...hit five 3-pointers on Nov. 23 vs. VCU, a career-high seven 3-pointers out of eight attempts in the George Washington win on Jan. 12 and five more at St. Bonaventure on Jan. 16; scored 19 points on 6-of-7 3-point shooting in Xavier's season-opening win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Nov. 9.
AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2011-12): Made his first collegiate start against Oral Roberts on Dec. 18...played 11 minutes and hit a pair of 3-pointers in the season opener against Morgan State, his first game action since the 2010 NCAA Regional Semifinal against Kansas State (3-25-10).
2010-11: Missed the entire 2010-11 season...kept busy with his rehab following ACL surgery and his work as a roving reporter for GoXavier.com and RedfordsRundown.com, including interviews with the likes of U.S. Speaker of the House John Boehner (Xavier `77), James Posey (Xavier `99), CBS College Sports analyst and former XU head coach Pete Gillen and ESPN analyst and coach Bob Knight...did a sideline spot for CBS College Sports game.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2009-10): A left hip injury limited him...contributed five points against Pittsburgh in the NCAA Second Round...hit a pair of 3-pointers in the NCAA Regional Semifinal against Kansas State...hit 4-of-5 3-point attempts on his way to 16 points at Kansas State.
AS A FRESHMAN (2008-09): Led the entire Atlantic 10 Conference in 3-point percentage at a school-record 46.5 percent (53-of-114).
AT FRANKENMUTH HIGH: 36.7 ppg. as a senior...won Hal Schram Michigan "Mr. Basketball" Award and the Gatorade State of Michigan Player of the Year Award...hit a 102 consecutive free throws in one stretch.
PERSONAL: Has earned his bachelor's degree in communication arts...working on his master's degree in sport administration...born May 15, 1990 in Birmingham, Mich...parents are Mike and Kris Redford...Dad ran track and cross country at Western Michigan.
