2023-24: Took part in three events at the 2024 BIG EAST Championships, earning a spot in the B-Final of all three…Set a personal-best time of 2:00.60 in the B-Final of the 200 back, placing 10th overall…Set a personal-best time of 2:04.43 in the 200 IM B-Final, placing 10th overall…Finished 11th overall in the 100 back after setting a season-best time of 56.51 in the B-Final.
2022-23: Took part in three events at the BIG EAST Championships...Set a personal-best time of 56.46 in the B-Final of the 100 back, placing 12th overall...Set aa persona-best time of 2:04.04 in the C-Final of the 200 back, winning the heat and placing 17th overall...Set a personal-best time of 2:07.08 in the C-Final of the 200 IM, placing 18th overall.

PRIOR TO XAVIER: Came to Xavier from Maryville, Tenn., where she attended Maryville High School and also swam for Prime Aquatics. She specializes in backstroke and 200 IM...In spring 2021, wrapped up here senior season as a two-time TISCA state finalist, finishing fifth in the 200 free and seventh in the 200 back...Also had three top-20 finishes at the 2021 Southeastern Championship, in the 100 back, 200 back and 200 IM.
PERSONAL: Majoring in Exercise Science at Xavier... She is the daughter of Karen and Vince Van Son...Has two siblings, Nicholas and Megan.
