Chris Schaaf was hired in May of 2005 as an Assistant Technical Director. He has been promoted three times, most recently being promoted to Director for Broadcast and Engineering in July of 2022.

Schaaf's responsibilities include coordinating streaming broadcasts and keeping all the related equipment and systems running in top form. He also maintains the LED videoboards and related systems within Cintas Center.

Schaaf is heavily involved in the technical game day production, making sure that all the needs of marketing and Xavier Sports Properties are translated to our game day staff for execution. He also serves as the building’s video engineer and interface with all outside broadcast groups to ensure their production needs are met while at Cintas Center and other athletics venues.

Schaaf graduated from Xavier University in 2005 with a bachelor’s in Electronic Media. He resides in Mt. Washington with his wife, Lindsey, and their three children (Luke, Millie, & Hazel).
