Julia Ray was hired as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in July of 2024. She brings five years of coaching experience to Xavier.
Ray previously worked at Ignition APG (2019-24) as a performance coach, working with student-athletes at Thomas More University and Wilmington College. She also worked in business operations Ignition APG.
Ray has experience as a performance coach at RedLine Athletics (2017-19) and the University of Cincinnati (2019). She also served as the assistant general manager at RedLine Athletics.
Ray also has experience as a volleyball coach the last five years, working with Madeira Middle and High Schools, Elevation and NKYVC.
Ray holds the following certifications: National Strength & Conditioning Association Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, USA Weightlifting Certified Level 1 Coach and American Red Cross First Aid / CPR / AED Certified.
