Lipnickey came to Xavier from nearby Miami University, where she served in multiple roles on and off campus. Lipnickey, an Associate Professor in Miami's Department of Kinesiology and Health, has served as the school's NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative since 1999. Lipnickey, a native of Walpole, Massachusetts, moved to Oxford, Ohio, in 1978 to begin her Miami teaching career.
Outside of her Miami duties, Lipnickey has been a practicing attorney since 1991. Nationally, she is involved at the NCAA level, serving on the Division I Infractions Appeals Committee since 2006 and the Division I Leadership Council since 2008.
Lipnickey is a Slippery Rock graduate, with a master's degree from Purdue University, a Ph.D. from Ohio State and J.D. from Northern Kentucky.
