Sydney Ragland joined the Xavier Athletic Communications team as a graduate assistant in July 2026. Her duties include acting as a primary contact for volleyball and women’s lacrosse.

Prior to coming to Xavier, Ragland served as a communications assistant at the College of Charleston. She primarily worked with the Charleston softball team which went on to win the program’s first ever Coastal Athletic Association conference title in May 2026.

The Louisville, Ky., native graduated from the University of Kentucky in May 2025 with a bachelor’s in communication.

At Kentucky, Ragland worked with the women’s basketball team running in-game social media. In her senior year, she worked for the Southeastern Conference women’s basketball tournament as a communications assistant.
