Siemers Family Baseball Head Coach Billy O'Conner announced the addition of Tyler Hutson to the Xavier Baseball coaching staff in Fall 2025. Hutson joins Xavier's staff as a Pitching Development Assistant ahead of the 2026 season.

Hutson joins O'Conner's staff after wrapping up his collegiate playing career at West Viriginia during the 2025 season. Hutson, a right-handed pitcher, made 14 appearances, including one start, for the Mountaineers last season. The native of Villa Hills, Ky., posted a 4.97 ERA and collected 29 strikeouts in 25.1 innings of work.

Prior to playing at West Virginia, Hutson spent three seasons at Southern Indiana, making 61 appearances, including 14 starts, for the Screaming Eagles. During his time at USI, Hutson had a 4.95 ERA and struck out 132 batters in 132.2 innings of work, collecting five wins and nine saves.

At Southern Indiana, Hutson earned a spot on the 2024 OVC Championship All-Tournament Team and was twice named to the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Studies from West Virginia in May 2025.
