Maurice McAfee Earns Atlantic 10 Conference Honors

PHILADELPHIA --- Maurice McAfee, 6-0 senior guard from Saginaw, Mich., has been named Atlantic 10 Conference Player-of-the-Week for the week ending January 6.

McAfee hit 8-of-13 overall (.615), including 5-of-7 from three-point range (.714), en route to a game-high 26 points in Xavier 's win at Fordham last Wednesday to go with six assists and just one turnover.

McAfee, who came into the game averaging 6.9 ppg. and shooting .299 from the field (.188 from three-point range), scored 21 of his points in the first half to help XU erase a three-point deficit (FU 6-3) and dominate the half to take a 17-point lead at intermission. The 26 points are just one shy of his career high.
