Stanley Burrell Named To A-10 All-Championship Team

Xavier freshman guard Stanley Burrell was named to the All-Championship Team for the 2005 Atlantic 10 Men?s Basketball Championship, which concluded tonight at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati.

Burrell averaged 15.5 points and 2.0 assists for Xavier?s two games in the A-10 Tournament. Burrell, a member of the 2004-05 Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team, is the first Xavier freshman ever to earn All-Atlantic 10 Tournament honors.

Xavier, 17-12 overall, hopes to receive word on a postseason berth on Sunday night. XU is bidding for its ninth straight postseason appearance for men?s basketball.
