Final Results
Boise, Idaho - After a day of rough weather for the first two rounds, Xavier women's golf coach Tom Elfers was pleased with today's final round action during a much calmer day at the Bronco Fall Invitational. The Musketeers maintained their fifth place position from the day before, finishing at 920 (+68).
The University of Nebraska broke from the day-one tie with UC Davis to win the team title by eight strokes (884, +32). Nebraska carded their third straight under-300 round of the tournament to separate from UC Davis. Xavier was unable to overcome the fourth place lead Bringham Young University maintained over them, finishing just three strokes back.
XU held their lead over Montana University, who were challenging from four strokes behind. Kate White of Nebraska, the day-one leader, finished strong (213, even par) to take the individual title over fellow Husker Elli Brown and Sydney Roughton of UC Davis 216 (+3).
Senior Kara Manis built on her excellent first day performance to finish sixth overall at 221 (+8). Freshman Mary Beth McKenna took advantage of the days improved weather conditions to shoot XU's best round for the day (72, +1) to bring her into a tie for eighth place at 223 (+10). Junior Diana Torry finished the tournament tied for 38th with a 240 (+27). After a tough first two rounds, sophomore Lindsay Cornell bounced back, dropping seven shots off her best day-one score to finish tied at 46th (242, +29). Freshman Lindsay Steiner fired a 251 to tie for 70th at 38-over par.
