OXFORD, Ohio - The Xavier men's swim team fell at Miami (Ohio) Saturday, 109-87, in the team's first road meet of the season at Nixon Aquatic Center. With the loss, the Musketeers fall to 1-1 on the year while the Redhawks are now 2-2.
"This meet gave us an opportunity to swim against some tough competition as well as getting to swim in a great facility," said head coach Steve Riegler following the meet. "We have a lot of tough work ahead of us but we are looking forward to the challenge."
XU freshman Nathan Green took first place in the 100 Free with a time of 48.34 followed by freshmen Terence Mahon and Andy Knight to take the top three spots in the event. Xavier also took first place in the 400 Medley Relay and the 400 Free Relay.
The Musketeers will return to action next Saturday as both the men's and women's teams travel to Saint Louis to take on Atlantic 10 foe SLU. Please continue to check www.GOXAVIER.edu for the lastest results.
