Women's Soccer Team Loses Regular Season Opener At TCU

FORT WORTH, TEXAS -- The Xavier women’s soccer team dropped its regular season opener on Friday night at TCU 3-0. The loss drops XU to 0-1 while TCU remains undefeated at 2-0.
TCU’s Jordan Calhoun scored two goals to lead the Horned Frogs, including the first goal of the match in the 17th minute in the first half. The Xavier defense failed to clear a ball in the closing seconds of the first half and Calhoun capitalized again, drilling the loose ball into the net just before the horn sounded to end the first half. TCU led 2-0 at the break.
The home team added another insurance goal less than 10 minutes into the second half to go ahead by the final margin of 3-0.
Xavier will try to even its record on Sunday when it visits North Texas for a 1 p.m. Central Time match.
