
Women's Soccer Team Shut Out At Crosstown Rival Cincinnati

CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University women’s soccer team lost 4-0 to crosstown rival Cincinnati on Thursday night at UC.
The Bearcats jumped out to a 1-0 lead after 5:55 of action as UC’s Julie Morrissey scored the first of her two goals on the night. The home team would add three more goals before halftime to take a 4-0 lead into intermission. XU had three corner kicks in the first half to none for UC but couldn’t find the back of the net.
The two teams battled to a scoreless tie in second-half action.
Cincinnati evened its record at 3-3, while Xavier fell to 0-5.
The Musketeers will try to bounce back on Sunday as they visit another local rival, Miami (Ohio).
