Glynn Leads Muskteers at Georgetown Invitational

BEALLSVILLE, Md. - A trio of Musketeers finished day one of the Georgetown Invitational in the top 10 to help Xavier come to a sixth place finish. The 12-team field was playing at the par-71, 6,953-yard The Members Club at Four Streams. There are five shots separating the second and sixth place teams.
The Musketeers are in sixth place after shooting rounds of 292-278 to sit at a 2-over-par 570. Campbell is currently in first place with a score of 559 followed by Miami (OH) with 565. The team is in third in par-5 scoring with an average of 4.60 and going 12-under-par on those holes.
Red-shirt senior Alan Glynn is leading the way for the Musketeers after carding rounds of 70-70--140 (-2) for an eight place finish after day one. Glynn is leading the tournament in pars with 28 and is tied for second in par-3 scoring with an average of 2.88.
Juniors Sebastian MacLean and Chris Burger are one shot behind Glynn in a tie for 10th place. MacLean shot rounds of 73-68, while Burger finished with rounds of 71-70 to a total of 1-under-par 141. MacLean is leading the tournament in par-5 scoring wiht an average of 4.00 on those holes. Burger had 10 birdies on the day, good for second most in the tournament. The Cincinnati native is alos tied for second in par-4 scoring with an average of 3.95.
Seniors Herbert Day and Peter O'Neill carded rounds of 78-70--148 (+6) and 83-72-155 (+13) respectively. Sophomore Aaron Siekmann is competing as an individual and sits in 26th place with rounds of 70-74--144 (+2).
