Two Top-10 Finishes Lead Men's Golf to Fourth Place Finish at Georgetown Invitational

BEALLSVILLE, Md. - Sebastian MacLean's fourth place finish helped the Musketeers jump two spots to end the Georgetown Invitational in fourth place. The 12-team field competed at the par-71, 6,953-yard Members Club at Four Streams.
Junior Sebastian MacLean and redshirt senior Alan Glynn earned top-10 finishes for the Musketeers. MacLean earned his third top-5 finish after carding a final round 1-under-par 70 to finish the tournament at 2-under-par 211 for a fourth place tie. Glynn was one shot back in eighth place after going 1-over-par in the final round for a 1-under-par 212.
Junior Chris Burger made his first trip to the top 20 this season, finishing in a tie for 13th place with a 2-over-par 215 total. Burger carded a 3-over-par 74 in the final 18. Senior Herbert Day was the final score for X, with a 5-over-par 76 to end with an 11-over-par 224 total.
Sophomore Aaron Siekmann ended the tournament in a tie for 45th with a 12-over-par 225 total. Senior Peter O'Neill carded a final round score of 7-over-par 78 to finish with a 233 total.
Xavier carded a team score of 292 in the final round to finish with a 862, one shot behind A-10 foe Richmond. Campbell won the tournament with a score of 847 followed by Miami (OH) with 857. Miami's Austin Kelly won medalist honors after shooting a 8-under-par 205.
This meet marked the last one of the fall for the Musketeers. The spring campaign gets under way in February when the men travel to Tampa, Fla., to compete in a match play invitational. Stay tuned to GOXAVIER.com for more information.
