Men's Golf Sits in Fourth at Mizzou Intercollegiate

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Xavier men's golf team moved up to fourth place out of 16 teams at the Mizzou Intercollegiate. The Musketeers moved from 10th to fourth after shooting a 13-over-par 301 team score in the second round.
Senior Peter O'Neill shot a first round of 8-over-par 80 and then turned things around in his second pass through the course with a 1-over-par 73. O'Neill is tied for eighth. Junior Sebastian MacLean had a similar pair of rounds, carding an 8-over-par 80 in the first round and a 3-over-par 75 in the second for 12th place.
Red-shirt senior Herbert Day is tied with MacLean in 12th place with a tournament total of 11-over-par 155. Chris Burger, the final scorer for XU, is tied for 24th after rounds of 80-77 for a 13-over-par 157. Nic Helser is in 52nd after putting in rounds of 82-79--161 (+17).
Host Missouri sits in first place with team score of 600 (+24). Missouri's Jace Long is the top individual with a 2-under-par 142.
