Musketeers Fall To Ohio 2-1 In Exhibition Play

CINCINNATI -- The 2010 edition of the Xavier women's soccer team fell 2-1 to Ohio in exhibition action Sunday afternoon at the Xavier Soccer Complex.
The Musketeers jumped out on top at the 7:33 mark when Jessica Brooks found the back of the net on a high bouncing deflection.
Unfortunately for XU, the Bobcats managed to tie the match in the 42nd minute when Kelsey Pichel got a ball past XU goalkeeper Jennifer Perri. Pichel struck again in the second half when she hit an 18 yard free kick at the 20:59 mark to give OU the 2-1 win.
Perri finished the match with six saves.
Xavier will kick off the regular season on Friday, August 20, as they travel to Ball State.
