
Eastern Michigan Tops Musketeer Swimmera

YPSILANTI, Mich. -- The Xavier swim team fell Friday evening at the hands of Eastern Michigan. In women's action, the Eagles topped the Musketeers 123.5-85.5. The Xavier men came up just short against the Eagles 129-108.
In women's action Olivia Wilkes took first place in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:27.14. She was followed by senior Kerry Wright with a time of 5:30.14.
The Musketeers took the top three spots in the women's 200 yard breaststroke. Mary Podlaski took first with a time of 2:26.40, Natalie Hyde and Haley Pohlman tied for second with a time of 2:36.07. Lakenn Reynolds, Grace Raynor, Randi Windemuller, and Wilkes took the top spot in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:45.94.
In the men's competition Sam Conchuratt won the 200 yard freestyle in 1:43.39. Chad Thompson took the top spot in the 200 individual medley in 1:57.19, senior Nathan Green was first in the 100 yard freestyle, and David Gordon and Cliff Robins captured first and second in the 500 yard freestyle.
The Musketeers return to action tomorrow as they host Wright State at 11 a.m. The Musketeer seniors will be honored prior to the meet.
