
Men's Golf Nabs Third Place at Mizzou Intercollegiate

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Xavier men's golf team made a final round push, to finish in a tie for third place with Nebraska with team score of 923 (+59). Senior Peter O'Neill was the top finisher for XU, with a ninth place finish. Chris Burger and Sebastian MacLean made appearances in the top-20.
XU shot a final round of 15-over-par 303.O'Neil shot a 3-over-par 75 to finish with a 12-over-par 228 for sole possession of ninth place. This marks the third top-10 finish for the senior.
Burger had his best finish of the season, with a tenth place finish with a 13-over-par 229. Burger shot an even-par 72 in the final round. MacLean posted his sixth top-20 performance with a 14th place score of 15-over-par 231 after carding a final round of 4-over-par 76.
Red shirt senior Herbert Day finished in 30th place with a 13-over-par 235 after shooting an 8-over-par 80 in the final 18. Nic Helser would finish in 74th place with a tournament total of 34-over-par 250
Missouri won the event with a team score of 36-over-par 900. The Musketeers were one shot outside of second place, with Eastern Michigan finishing with a 58-over-par 922. The Tigers' Jace Long won medalist honors with an even-par 216.
