Musketeers Wrap Up Cardinal Cup

SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. - The final round of the Wild Eggs Cardinal Cup was concluded today as Xavier finished in 13th place. The Musketeers shot a 56-over-par 632 (320-312) for the two day event at the par-72 6,253 yard Cardinal Cup. Junior Breanna Patz was the low scorer for the Musketeers as she carded a 79-76, 155 (+11) and was tied for 36th in the field of 81 competitors.
Senior Michelle Winkler and sophomores Christine Cash and Kristin Tan all posted a 159 (+15) and ended the tournament tied for 52nd. Sophomore Ariel McNair also improved from her first round score as she shot an 80 and finished the tournament tied for 68th. Junior Alexandra Lake, who participated as an individual, repeated her performance of an 84 on Tuesday to give her a tournament score of 168.
North Carolina State was able to keep its lead through day two, as it came out victorious with a score of 596 (296-300). Julia Strandberg of East Carolina was the medalist as she shot a one-over-par 145 (75-70).
